In its Wagon Hire segment, the VTG Group markets its own wagon fleet of around 50,000 rail freight cars – the largest privately owned fleet in Europe –  consisting of more than 1,000 different wagon types.

In the Rail Logistics segment, the VTG Group organizes Europe-wide rail freight transport for its customers. In particular, mineral oil and chemicals products, liquid gases and further bulk and general cargo are transported.

In the Tank Container Logistics segment, through its subsidiary VOTG Tanktainer GmbH's fleet of around 8,000 tank containers, the VTG Group offers global intermodal traffic and logistics services.
