In the Rail Logistics division, the VTG Group organizes Europe-wide rail freight transport for its customers. In particular, mineral oil and chemical products, liquid gases and further bulk and general cargo are transported. With its comprehensive range of offers, VTG is one of the leading providers in Europe in this division.

VTG can utilize a wide network of national and international partners for the management of cargo flows and thus offer its customers further individual preliminary and subsequent services in addition to the transport of goods by rail. It is a great advantage that VTG has at its disposal the wagon fleet of its own Wagon Hire division, but can, if necessary, also hire wagons from third parties. This makes VTG a preferred partner.

In the Rail Logistics division, the VTG Group will in future benefit more greatly from the liberalization of rail freight transport. In particular for rail forwarding companies, like the VTG Group, good short-term and medium-term growth opportunities and an increase in cross-border transport are to be expected in those European countries whose markets have not yet been penetrated to a great extent. Impulses also arise from the increase of cross-border transports. At the same time, the demand for international logistics solutions for liquid and sensitive goods will continue to grow.

VTG has expanded the range of services it offers to include long-haul transport as well as added value services, such as tracking & tracing and transport management, and is striving to develop the relationships with its customers and also, in the future, to acquire new customer groups.
