Sascha Bengel takes over as Head of Western Hemisphere at VTG Silk Road & Project Logistics

Thereby, he replaces Klaus Lutze, who will continue to support the projects until the end of the year and then take early retirement at his own request. 

In his new position, Sascha Bengel is particularly keen to strengthen networking with other VTG business units. "The upcoming transformation of our industry towards eLogistics requires greater transparency of the entire supply chain, for example through modern cross-modal tracking platforms. To be ready, we need to network more closely and make better use of existing synergies," Sascha Bengel says.  

Sascha Bengel has more than a decade of professional experience in the logistics sector. From 2006 to 2013, he was responsible for special transports at Kühne + Nagel Rail Chemnitz and moved to the new company VTG Rail Logistics in 2013 as part of the joint venture between VTG and Kühne + Nagel.
